Schedule TOVA Testing in South Pasadena
CJMH provides standalone TOVA testing at our South Pasadena office for clients throughout Greater Los Angeles, including Pasadena, Arcadia, Glendale, San Gabriel, Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley, and surrounding communities.
Despite our name, you do not need to be Japanese or speak Japanese to receive TOVA testing from CJMH. We provide testing to people of all backgrounds.

WHICH TOVA TEST TO TAKE?
The TOVA is available in separate visual and auditory formats. Some people process visual and auditory information differently and may demonstrate attention difficulties in one modality but not the other. For that reason, completing both tests can provide useful information about attention performance across both types of stimuli.
We generally recommend completing both the visual and auditory tests unless your referring provider has requested only one. Please follow your provider’s instructions if they specified which test or tests you should take.
Please note: The visual and auditory tests have separate normative data. Current visual norms cover ages 4 through 80+, while auditory norms cover ages 6 through 29. For people outside the auditory normative age range, the usefulness and interpretation of auditory testing should be discussed with the referring clinician.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE
After testing, you will receive:
- a CJMH testing summary;
- the applicable TOVA-generated visual and/or auditory reports; and
- TOVA observation forms for your clinician’s review.
You can provide these materials to your evaluating or treating clinician. With your written authorization, CJMH can also send them directly to your designated clinician.
STANDALONE TESTING – No Additional Services Required
CJMH’s role in this service is limited to administering the TOVA and providing the testing summary, TOVA-generated reports, and observation forms. You are not required or expected to receive counseling, a diagnostic evaluation, or any other service from CJMH. You can take your testing results back to your current provider or any qualified clinician of your choice.
FLEXIBLE APPOINTMENT TIMES
We normally operate Monday through Saturday, by appointment only, but, on occasion, we may be able to accommodate an appointment on Sunday or outside our normal hours of 10am to 6pm.
FREE PARKING
We have free parking outside our building and unmetered parking on the main and side streets.
ACCESSIBLE BUILDING & RESTROOMS
We’re in a single-story building. The front entrance has a small step and ramp. There are two accessible restrooms adjacent to the waiting area.
